1. Since implementation of the Gated & Guarded (G&G) scheme on 16th August 2009 – 31st August 2009, there has been no cases of crime in the areas of Rahim Kajai, Lengkok Aminuddin Baki, and Lorong Aminuddin Baki 4.
2. Proposed Temporary Closure of Lrg Rahim Kajai 13 (LRK 13)
It was proposed that LRK 13 be barricaded temporarily starting from 8pm, 18 Sept 09 to help remove an exit route for would-be criminals.
3. Change of security services company
After feedback from resident-subscribers on the performance of G Garuda Security Services Sdn Bhd since 16th Aug 09, the coordinating committee has decided to engage a new security company: DU Security Services Sdn Bhd. This was based on observing the company’s operation in another residential area. DU Security Services will commence operations from 16th Sept 09.
More to come.
Hello,
I will be moving to rahim kajai 1 and am concerned about 2 things.
1. Safety
I read in the forums that gates and fences will be up by 7 june but i’ve noticed some gates don’t have doorways (lrg RK 2 i think) and ppl can also access the area through an opening near the field. Is anything going to be done about this, and are there any plans to have guards watching the fence for ppl going in and out of the area? I think the guards are only at the main rahim kajai road at the moment.
2. Playground
The playground looks very run down compared to the other playgrounds in taman tun such as in athinahapan. Are there any plans to spruce it up – have more trees and better slides, seesaws, swings? Would be nice to see it being a more child-friendly place.

Hi Amy,
Welcome to the neighbourhood!
WRT your questions:
1. The gates you were referring to (facing pinggiran TTDI/masjid al-Ghufran) were built prior to this new security effort. Even so, we will bring this up to the voluntary security committee for Rahim Kajai.
The guards currently man the main entryways into Rahim Kajai (2 on Jln Rahim Kajai and 1 on Lrg Rahim Kajai 13 across the shoplots) and do hourly rounds on a motorcycle throughout the RK neighbourhood.
The current security plan requires each household to commit RM50/mth. Unfortunately, not all households have subscribed to this plan, reducing the number of guards we can employ (currently if I understand it correctly, only around 30% of all RK households have committed to the plan, but I will re-check this figure). Hopefully this percentage can increase in the near future, leading us to employing several more guards to man specific areas better.
2. Playground is not under the purview of our volunteer security committee. I presume the Residents’ Association (http://ttdi-ra.com.my/) might have a clearer picture of this situation!
Best regards, and welcome again to TTDI!

hi fahmi,
Thanks for the quick reply and info.
Are you the founder of this site or the head of the RK area or something?
Amy
Hi Amy,
No worries. I’m a volunteer. Earlier this year, just before we initiated this Guarded & Gated (G&G) security plan, my immediate neighbours (17, 21, 25) were robbed at knife point by motorcycle gangs right outside their homes. We decided we’d had enough, and got together to put this program together.
This blog is one of our efforts. It’s not maintained as frequently as I’d like it to be, personally, but I think over time it will get better
